The Pines Christian School continues the ministry that Western Ave Baptist Church & School started over sixty years ago. Our schools maintains a family atmosphere devoted to quality Christian education for children at a reasonable price. Our program is designed to provide today's busy families' educational and daycare needs.
We are a 501C3 non-profit organization devoted to the Christian education of elementary children.
The Pines is operated according to the Christian principles revealed in the Holy Bible. We integrate faith into our academic instruction and child/staff relationships. These principles are used as a guide for our ethical and moral standards for behavior and business practices.
We use the traditional Abeka Christian curriculum to teach Spelling, Language, Phonics, and Arithmetic. The Common Core standards are covered in Reading, Science, Health, and Social Studies through The Studies Weekly and the online i-Ready Reading Curriculum. Our teachers are devoted to teach with a biblical perspective and committed to our students' success.
Our K-5 students worship every Wednesday together at chapel. We also begin our daily morning assemblies with prayer, and start the day with a devotional. We strive to provide excellent education that is Christ Centered.
"I went to the pines from pre-K to fifth grade and I can honestly say that the teachers and staff laid out the foundation for who I am today. My experience at the pines was nothing less than exceptional. All of my teachers were gentle, kind, intentional, supportive and genuine. They always made sure that the classroom setting was fair, not meaning that everyone gets the same thing but rather that every student receives the help or guidance that he or she needs. Not only were the teachers great when it came to education and the work, but they genuinely cared for all of their students. I never once felt like I was lesser than another classmate, in fact I always felt like I was part of a huge family, and still consider the staff at pines to be part of that family. Most importantly, the Pines taught me how important it is to follow Jesus. From chapel on Wednesday's, to memorizing bible verses and bible lessons in the classroom, the pines definitely minister to the kids in a way that will impact them for the rest of their lives. I would know because I am one of those kids. When I think of the pines I simply think of my childhood. I remember how excited I would be for kids night out and all of the awesome field trips over the summer. Those are moments that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Take it from a true pines kid, you will not be disappointed with this amazing school!"

"I attended Pines PreK-5th grade and I absolutely loved it. I felt important as a student and had a great relationship with all of my teachers. They do a great job of interacting with students and parents and provide a great environment for personal and academic growth. I'm currently a nanny and have referred my families to both the preschool and elementary school, only to have them fall in love as well. Great activities for the kids like gymnastics, piano and guitar lessons are available after school options. The hours of both the preschool and the elementary school are great too allowing working parents or busy nannies like myself flexible times for pick up. Love this school!"
